Roar of the wind, sweet talks me again
Its voice, drags me abroad
I am no wiser reluctant I go with the flow,
Rolled like a stone
Disguised and deprived of my right to take flight
A butterfly swaddled to mold
I can’t leave
I am cheap
My wings have already been sold
And I have tarnished who I am
Cradle my form in waves of this land
Rising with flux
I am forgotten,
alone and am rotting away
I’m lost in a soul
I am a waste of humanly space and bone
Find me a home
Give me life
Let me thrive
And grow
These roots made of stone
Flourish this pain into rope
And climb from this hole
Twisting and turning, contorting my flesh on command,
Eager to blend
I bend and I break, taking on several shapes with demand,
Never to mend
They say don’t bite what feeds
but sever my hands if you please,
all for your needs
A pawn for your shameless decor of pity
And I have tarnished who I am
Cradle my form in waves of this land
Rising with flux
I am forgotten,
alone and am rotting away
I’m lost in a soul
I am a waste of humanly space and bone
find me a home
Give me life
Let me thrive
And grow
These roots made of stone
Flourish this pain into rope
And climb from this hole
I am alone!
All my words dull and boughten
My mouth increasingly numb
I am forgotten,
alone and am rotting away
I’m lost in a soul
I am waste of humanly space and bone
Find me a home
Give me life
Let me thrive
And grow
These roots made of stone
flourish this pain into rope
And climb from this hole

Pair some epic power metal and heavy metal and you have yourself an amazing album. Produce an album like Abyss and you have an instant classic. I can't wait to hear what comes next from this talented group. Trevor Mills

One of the only bands whose beat blasts through your headphone and still sounds melodic. What an album!
And there's more but I'll leave you to it! QuarkStorm

"old-school death", they said.
while in many ways, that could be said about "echoes of the soul", this album musically has so much more to offer. it is melodic, has some BM elements, and the solos are breathtaking.
i was surprised & delighted & this quickly became one of my favourite albums.
the lyrics' socio-political messages & the spirituality & the depths of feeling & of being human are all things i can really, really connect to. there's a kind of empathy that is often elsewhere absent. frög

I'm going to see this incredible band in April and can't wait for it. This album is an absolute banger and technically very impressive. Awesome stuff. dominikgray
